Tai Chi or Tai Chi Chuan is a Chinese meditative martial art practiced worldwide and recognized for it's benefits to physical health and mental well-being.
The 128 or so graceful postures of the art, are reflections of natural animal movements. In combination with breathing techniques, meditation and fluidly changing from one pose to the next, Tai Chi Chuan is the ultimate exercise for the mind-body connection.
You may know Tai Chi from seeing older people in parks, practicing early in the morning. Don't be mislead by it's slow and gentle nature. When sped up Tai Chi is a fighting style. Training with weapons is possible as well as participating in sparring matches.
