I had the pleasure of interviewing Nik Halik of the TheThrillionaires.com. Nik, a self made multi millionaire has pursued the kind of risky and exciting adventures that one would think only occurs in fiction. This includes lunch on the sunken Titanic, and rocketing around the Earth as a citizen astronaut. However, Nik is a real live guy and is living the life we all dream. His site, The Thrillionaires, encourages people to live life to the fullest while being able to support other adventurers in their own quests.
Now for the Interview:
1. Tell me a bit about yourself. When did the adventure bug first hit?
I was medically confined to bed for the first 10 years of my life. My parent's gave me a library of Encyclopedia Britannica and my interest in different destinations around the world was fueled.
2. Do you have a personal chef? How do you manage to eat the right foods for the incredible demand your adventures must place on your body? You look very healthy and fit. A trainer has to wonder!
I don't have a personal chef. I eat throughout the day to keep energy levels up. I drink a lot of water to stay hydrated, eat energy bars and try my best to be healthy on the road.
3. How important is physical fitness in your adventures? Are you in shape due to extreme adventuring? Or do you train to prepare for them?
A bit of both. I train in the gymnasium three to four times a week and I stay healthy and lean by eating organically. My diet is Mediterranean and rich in anti oxidants. The adventures are very demanding and it comes back down to hydration at all times.
4. What is your advice for people who yearn for adventure but have hesitations for one reason or another?
Have a strong belief system. Know what you want to do and define your "Why." Figure our how to achieve your goals and have a strong emotional muscle to overcome obstacles.
5. What's next on your travel adventure agenda?
*Laughs* I'm jumping out of a plane 30 000 feet off the ground over the Himalayas!
6. What is the thrillionaires social network?
It's a global community of like minded souls. It's almost become a movement of people looking to help and nurture each other on their own quests for an exciting and fulfilling lifestyle.
Amazing! Nik is really an inspiration to me, and many others who believe in overcoming fear of change and having the can do attitude to reach your goals, fulfill your wildest dreams and get out there to live life!
